The opera “Aida” by Giuseppe Verdi, performed by the Serbian National Theater from Novi Sad – choir, orchestra, ballet and soloists with special guests, renowned artists from Moscow and Saint Petersburg, took place in Belgrade on September 6. It was the first event after the official opening of the reconstructed Sava Center.
This grandiose musical and stage spectacle, one of the greatest and most beautiful operas of all time, was conducted by the great Louis Gorelik. Special guests of the opera Aida are Ivan Gyngazov (Ivan Gizagov-tenor), Lidiya Svetozarova (Lidija Gizagov-soprano) and Louis Gorelik.They were accompanied by the Opera of the Serbian National Theater from Novi Sad, which consists of a choir, an orchestra, ballet and amazing soloists.
Opera Aida is known for its rich and sumptuous music, magnificent arias and orchestral parts. The most famous segments of the opera are Radames’s aria from the first actand the famous triumphal march from the second act. This opera is also famous for its grandiose productions that include lavish costumes, make-up and interesting scenographic solutions. The triumphal scene in the second act with horses, ballet and mass scenes is one of the most impressive stage achievements in opera.
